I've got a Netgear 834PN with the DGTeam firmware. I was wondering if it's a good idea to play with the SNR value to try and eek out as much bandwidth as possible during the initial 10 day training period ??
I've currently got it at 80% SNR for a sync of about 1940 and a SNR margin of about 8db. Is it better to leave it at 100% SNR for the initial 10 day period, let it find it's natural sync rate, then tweak, or is tweaking during the period ok ??
Could i screw up my sync speed permanently if i set it too low if we have a storm or something and the sync speed is dropped by the DSLAM ?? If that happens, would it be a good idea to put the firmware back upto 100% SNR and let it work it's way back up again before playing ??
