I would agree with you as that's what I've read elsewhere, but I experienced the same issue with the BT cordless set that I've had for the last 6-7 years (only since moving to LLU I must add) & just out of curiosity I disconnected the Panasonic set, hooked up the old BT set & I still see it knock out my internet.
Admittedly it doesn't affect them as badly, it takes about 7 rings before the connection drops & it didn't seem to disconnect totally, just got no throughput.
Lastly, I managed to get another router (Netgear DG834) and tried that. It was worse.
My SNR maxed out at 6 or 7 & the connection again dropped everytime the phone rang.
Not sure what else I can try now as something on the phone side is interfering with the ADSL LLU side when the phone rings.
I'm baffled.
