Two or three years back, I had a problem with my phone line. It was promptly fixed, but internet speed was very slow. I phoned my ISP (F2S) who said it usually takes a few days to "settle". Sure enough, proper speed steadily returned over the next few days.
Over Christmas / New Yr we just had our line knocked out again, due to high winds. Again a fast repair, and again the speed has started slow (0.1Mbps) yesterday, picking up a little today (0.6Mbps). It should get back up to somewhere between 1.5 & 2.0 if the same thing happens again (we live in rural NW Wales).
Can anyone explain why the slow return to full speed?
