Thanks for all the replies everyone.

I agree with a number of posts, in that it is a bit of a grey area. Oh well, there is only one way to find out! smile

I will let you know what the score is once I've contacted BT.

Thought I read of a few instances where the line was damaged by building work etc. within the boundary of a customer's premises, OR side of the NTE5, and they had to pay for the repair?


sure, but that's more a case of negligence than a poor installation (BT's negligence) resulting in excessive wear and tear.
