Filtered extensions

I want to put a Dual socket (adsl/phone) extension in, something like the Clarity Dual Data extension kit.

My Master socket is a Openreach installed NTE5 with a filtered faceplate, should the extension socket also have a filtered faceplate or will the filtering be taken care of at the master NTE5.
If both were filtered would this have any adverse effect.

Depends on which connectors you use.

If you use the filtered connectors at the Openreach end, then ADSL will not work at the other end of the extension.

Where are you wanting the ADSL modem plugged in?

Well the modem would be connected to the new extension.
Dect phone connected here as well, but could be left in the existing Master.

Hard wired connections available on the master are 2,3,&5 and A,&B

In which case you would want to use A & B which are unfiltered and allow both ADSL and phone, with the filter at the extension doing the filtering for you

So with a filtered faceplate on the extension, it just needs to use connections A & B on the existing Master socket
