That information is from a user who has "spoken with the CEO" of VM.

Although he may have spoken with someone high up at VM, I wouldn't take any information gained like this with any reliability due to VM's past assurances and promises!

We have only been connected to VM for a few months to a supposedly "new" system (digital upgrade) and now things are terrible! Sub 1Mb speeds and latency all over the place.

I left BT due to the [censored] ADSL round here, as things stand it was more stable and reliable!

Look at this graph, the red at the top is bad!

My Broadband Ping

The red bar on the RHS is when the idiots at the VM "helpdesk" got me to disconnect their router as the wireless was the problem (even though I am connected wired!).

This graph is a good connection! (work ADSL!)

My Broadband Ping

Does someone have contact details of someone at VM to complain to?

I take it with a pinch of salt, I was previously given a fix date of mid june (student leave time) which then changed to end of june, and still now I see things declining for myself and people messaging me on here.

the only real fix for me was they moved me from legacy to overlay which made the service fit for purpose 'most' but not all days.

le3 will be a right mess when upload speeds get rolled out.

Latest update from the CEO's office is that the fix will be in place Sept 13th.

Was supposed to be today. Obviously something has slipped!

the date keeps moving seemingly indefenitly the first ever date I was given was early june.

so which is it?

1 - upgrade is planned but getting pushed back due to lack of parts or similiar reason.
2 - upgrade is ongoing but hit technical problems.
3 - upgrade isnt planned and these dates are to keep customers quiet temporarily.
4 - the dates are rebalancing users.

I hope it's 1 or 2.
I suspect it's 3.
I think they are already doing 4, however I cant see how they will ever rebalance when the situation is this bad, the rest of the network in Leicester must be either at capacity or very close? (I heard NTL only ever had just enough capacity available to them)

Roll on the 13th!

started monitoring my sister's connection with tbbq and it has packet loss ongoing the entire day, explains why it cant hit 20mbit ever!!!.

power levels are ok so she must have some other problem. She has the usual latency issues as well tho, the difference is they less than at my address although she has slower speeds.

Overlay is still mostly ok for download speeds tho.

If you are out of contract, send them a letter recorded and ask them to arrange collection from you.

Have you tried to call customer services?
