VM in Ashford - Experiences?

[link to this post]

Hiya

Wondering if anyone is in the Ashford area, and if so, what has their experience of the VM service been like there?

I'm due to move there shortly and I'm considering my options. I'm currently with O2 for my broadband, and I'm quite happy paying my £7.50 p/m - however, having spoken to them tonight it seems that as their kit isn't in the exchange the price jumps to £17.50 p/m.

Also, am I right in understanding that all the prices quoted on the VM website don't include the £11.99 p/m line rental charge?

Thanks in advance.

one of their favoured trial areas so I expect it to be good performing.

Thanks. That's kind of what I'd have thought - but you never know!

Does distance to the exchange make much of a difference with Cable, or is that only a factor with ADSL?

If you cannot get O2 LLU then don't be tempted to take the O2 Access product. Despite enforcing a 20-40GB cap and terminating contracts if 40GB is exceeded two months running I haven't seen anything to suggest that this has relieved the high contention it has suffered more or less from the start.

If you can't fix it with a hammer you've got an electrical problem.
