I agree with you for what its worth.
Whilst I accept ignition's point, the problem is there is no real plan B for when lots of people do go full throttle 24/7 on a single service group. To make matters worse this sort of thing when it happens tends to be localised, like one area might have 20 heavy torrenters another area might have none or 1. I dont think heavy users are evenly spread out across nodes.
I think one reason things have improved lately (asides from the abandoning of 10:1 on lower packages) is that as speeds go up, its harder to sustain full throttle for long periods of time. So ultimately less people will be going 100%. So internet speeds outgrowing the download addicts. Right now the maths are better. max 120mbit on a 400mbit group and max 12mbit upload with 36 capacity. When previously we had max of 100mbit down on 200 capacity and max 10 up on 18 capacity.
