Which Router?

Hi all

I'm getting Virgin 50 Mbps broadband installed later this month and was wondering which router they would supply? I've read about the Super Hub 2ac but I'm not sure if they supply that for the 50 Mbps service?

Any recommendations for a router to use with the Super Hub in modem mode if I decide I want something better?

I believe you will get the Superhub 2ac due to the fact that they only want one piece of hardware on their network, incase you decide to upgrade your speed in the future.

Installed today and was provided with a Hub 3.0. Seems OK so far, a rock solid 52Mbps.

Interesting, can you post some photos of the Hub they gave you. Is it the white one?

Yes, its the white one, the Hub 3.0 The same as the pictures on the Virgin Media website. Its a badged Touchstone made by Arris. A bit bulky compared to my old Plusnet router but seems to do the job OK.

Only seeing the black one on the website.... Unless my eyes are failing me.

Look at the Virgin Media help and support page, trouble shooting your broadband, resetting your router. It shows small pictures of all the routers. Also plenty of reviews online showing pictures.
