Upload boost for 350Mb

If you reboot your router you should find you've now got an upload around 37Mb....

As the subject says, hasn't been done everywhere and anyone on Voom Business Broadband continues to enjoy being a second class customer of the cable network - speeds unchanged regardless of tier

This is the first I've read, everyone I know on the home 350 package rebooted their router today and got the upgrade

Sound like it will be 10:1 upload speed eg:

50/5
100/10
200/20
350/35
500/50

Telford area isn't upload boost at the moment as my mate still on 350/20 been reboot hub 3 but no 35Meg upload yet. Not everywhere thought.

Looks pretty widespread though there are still odd areas where trying this would be a bad idea as there aren't 4 upstream channels. These are a minority now, though, so shiny happy people on most of the network.

Seems far more likely to me that Virgin are checking the network can cope with the upload speed before telling customers about an upgrade to 500mb, than it does that they are going to 10:1. Makes sense to do this as people cannot complain if they find some areas cannot cope and pull the 500mb tier and retain the 20mb upload whilst they fix.

i was excited when i saw the news on ispreview at work was like cant wait to get home and reboot modem lol still stuck on 20 up on voom biz, in a FTTP area too so ud think of all areas id be in a ready area lol. since removing my static ip my connection even just detects as a standard home user now too, with a lot of cloud backup i defo cant wait till it finally happens

Saw this thread and thought in for a penny and rebooted the router and yay 35 Mbps too! Virgin have never been this quick in rolling something out in Derby.

Working here in Leicester.

Had some engineering outages over the last few weeks, hopefully they have been upgrading things, otherwise the network here wont cope!
