I will be leaving VM soon for CF either from Zen or Yayzi

Will be interesting to see what VM offer me to stay.
I wont be staying unless they offer 1gig for free laugh

I pay £48 now and I can get a 2gig D and 1gig U for that money.

Cityfibre had a £200 cashback which I registered on, but sadly its apparently been ceased since end of March, otherwise I would try to find the link to share with you.

Your advice is pretty much what I did with the rage cancellation. smile They wasn't even close to it.

Yes I was signed up to that too, but CF took so long to commission that I had to re-sign with Virgin, or pay £140 a month while out of contract with no assurances that CF would complete anytime soon, I think there will be quite a few in the same situation.

I was kind of in the same mess.

My VM deal ends end of this month.

Initially I had a 4 month delay (and officially its still there, as its going to take 2 days for database to get updated), so the CF install was mid July, and on top of that it wasnt a commit date, as it was dependent on complications being resolved.

I managed to get the situation resolved, and CF are aware of my VM situation so have said will now do an escalated install to try and hit my time frame with VM. This is beyond what I asked, I just wanted to sort out the other issues.

Of course my VM will now be ceased, so I may have no connectivity for a bit, but luckily for me the CF getting activated looks like it will ne in the nick of time, if its late it hopefully wont be for very long.

Bugs me that we have to go through this charade every 18 months.

That's what I really hate as well, although the last few times its not been too bad, but really shouldn't need to every time, I just want to pay a fair price which is similar to other ISP's.

Unfortunately if I want decent speed VM is my only option.

I agree and the fact that they make that full price so obvious for months 19 or 25 it almost readies you to get ready to leave as those final months approach. Instead of haggling they should offer their existing customers a good deal, as what is the point in upsetting the customer and sort of forcing them to look elsewhere.
