Last job lot I bought was a quad pack of S810's in 2015....they were about £50 each from Ligo. Discontinued/superseded now I think.

The C430HX is a good low cost handset and pretty similar to the S850HX but a bit cheaper.

The S650HX Pro is great too, but seems to cost lots just for having the word Pro in the title.

If you want something rugged the RH630H or R650H are great, not tried the E630H but should be fine too.

All should work fine with an N300 (A) IP - or the same base unit is sometimes called a GO-Box 100

If only I could convince my other half to ditch the landline then I'd hope this is the last set of such phones I'll buy! 😀

Don't forget, the landline will feed into an N300A IP as well as the VoIP services so you will have all on one handset.

Yeah thanks, I'm ditching the landline as of next week.
It's being ported to Sipgate

I *think* the existing cordless handsets are DECT and may be able to be registered with the N300A anyway (but will need to test that out). One of them has buttons that don't really work so would be a good opportunity to replace.

Get the Groundwire app for your smartphone and load the Sipgate credentials onto that. You can have multiple sign-ins (ie the n300a base and Groundwire) with Sipgate.

Pretty sure in a few months you will have ditched the physical handsets. The new apps are brilliant.

Does Sipgate Basic support the push notifications though?

I looked at it recently after you'd suggested on another thread and was about to buy the app...but this page suggests it doesn't support them:

All the native Android/iOS push notifications are done by Groundwire SIPIS servers in the background. App doesn't need to be running at all.

So effectively the call registration is done like so:

PSTN/Whatever ------>Sipgate---->Groundwire SIPIS------>your smart phone
..........................................----->N300A------------------>your DECT handsets

The SIPIS servers keeps the registration alive with Sipgate servers, for calls to your smartphone.

Because there are effectively 2 simultaneous SIP registrations (one for Groundwire and one for Gigaset N300) at Sipgate then inbound calls are alerted simultaneously on both streams.
