DV with BT

A neighbour has recently swapped over to FTTP from FTTC remaining with BT. She retained her existing phone but was obviously moved over to DV where you would expect to see the service plugged into the router. Not so with her and certainly the phone lead on the base unit of the wireless phone is not plugged in anywhere and yet the phone works.

Could it be that there is now a Bluetooth connection to the router? Thoughts on this anyone?

The BT handset can connect wirelessly to the router so that may be how they are running it.

The BT Smart Hub 2 is a DECT (CAT-iq 2.1) base station and any GAP-compatible handset can pair to it.

Yes, all the hardware in use comes from the BT stable, so that is quite possible how the attending FTTP for the installation helpfully set up the resident's phone.
