Anyway, by hosters have suggested signing up to Google Apps, during which you add your domain name, personal details, when I got no further and chickened out when I read elsewhere it was irreversable.
Anyhow, my hosters said I would then need to change the MX record to point to Google Apps. This seems dangerous if I do it wrong. I'm told this will route mail through Google's servers, bypassing my hosters. But what I don't understand is can I carry on using my domain mail so in practice there is no change to Outlook setup and my use of the address with Yahoo Groups.
Anyone any experience with Google Apps? I want to try and get a handle on it before accepting or dismissing their advice.
