Ace Internet

[link to this post]

k, i guess this is to Steve & any happy Ace Internet peeps.

What's your experience with Ace like ?

For steve, what's your normal turn around time for migration, after being with pipex for 4yrs 3 good 1 bad i would say. I am ready to jump ship with all the bs with capping & taking forever on providing me with 8meg max. Just about the only peeps they want to put on 8meg max are the ones who are stupid enough to sign upto there phone service.

So what's the turn around time & what contention ratio is the 8meg Max biz ( 50:1 or 20:1 )

Hi SinTex

In reply to:

With a MAC code, normally 5-10 working days.

The Biz products have contention preferenece over the Home products (50:1 and 20:1 do not apply to the Max products).

I'll leave the "What's your experience with Ace like ?" question for customers to answer

Kind Regards

Steve

Make the most of the speed whilst you can, it will drop down to your 2Mb limit fairly soon

This is what I got from Zen.
5.79Mbps (741.6 KB/sec) down
0.68Mbps (86.5 KB/sec) up
Test done at 17:46 on Saturday 27th May 2006.
This is what I get with Ace.
5.95Mbps (761.7 KB/sec) down
0.67Mbps (85.3 KB/sec) up
Test done at 23:16 on Friday 9th June 2006.

Steve, is Ace Internet throttle speed on limewire pro p2p as I never get over 65kbps on my full 7Mbps home max ? My ex isp can do over 600kbps on limewire pro as it sound as ace internet does throttle speed on p2p ?

I'm seeing some slow bittorrent downloads. I really do hope it's not because mistral are throttling, because this would be a breach of the T&C's!

Hi

I can assure you that this is not due to us, or Mistral throttling connections.

We are however seeing some customers seeing p2p speed issues. Looking at several forums, some customers of other ISP's also seem to be seeing the same problem.

We will investigate to see what is causing this.

Kind Regards

Steve
