Re: Not throttling then

[re: Neonplanet40] [link to this post]

It`s spreading.Beginning to look like B.T is doing a network wide throttling of P2P.
This is going to be fun

What happen to speed ?

[re: Anonymous] [link to this post]

Ace Internet is now slow speed as my speed test is down to below 500kbps as the last 72 hours was brilliant speed of between 5.5Mbps and 6.6Mbps. I am now suffered p2p down to 15kbps and speed test is down to 483kbps on my home max 8000.

Speed test result: http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/results.php?t=1150104578&v=129767

Steve, what happen to Ace as it look like BT had throttle my speed on my line now ? As BT not allowed to do that - is that right Steve ?

Has anyone elses had the same speed problem ? The webload is so slow today !

I wish I never sign up to ace as it getting worse now, very slow snail speed today. I just migrated to them after found alots of customers saying it a best service and great speed no problem, but now I am struck in slow speed. I just fed up of being unlucky.

Next time I am going back to 2Mbs and no more MAX as MAX appear to be the biggest problem with throttle, speed up and down all times as my 2Mbps was stable and good speed at all times for a year.

Steve, is your speed test ok today or was it just me ?

I have heard that its actually BT's fault, as they have started charging the ISP's extra over a set amount of gigs used, so ISP's are responding with throttling everyone, even if you have unlimited download.
I'm with Pipex, and find I can only get around 22Kbs. I heard that blueyonder and claranet are the only ISP's that dont throttle.

Do you guys not listen to what ACE have posted on here.?. Take a step back and stop all the speculation "I've heard this" " I've heard that". No you haven't it's just talk. Steve has posted not only in here but on there own website that there does seem to be a speed issue affecting P2P users, which is NOT down to their shaping/capping/throtteling etc. Otherwise the service is as it should be. So give them a chance to find out what the problem is and report back b4 you guys start your empty threats about jumping ship...!

Steve

Why did you removed this part below from your site, it now gone !!!

No download limits
No hidden "fair use policy"
No port throttling
No "traffic shaping"
No blocked ports
No redirected ports
No caches used
No proxy servers
No long contracts
No hassle MAC codes

http://www.ace-internet.co.uk/adsl/ You can see it gone now on the right side of the site!

Before that look on this one: http://66.249.93.104/search?hl=en&lr=&rls=com.microsoft%3Aen-gb&q=cache%3Awww.ace-internet.co.uk%2Fadsl%2F

Will do, thx.

Requested MAC just a few mins ago got told 48-72hrs provided there is no more problems with there computer systems ( WHAT A SURPRIZE )

She asked who i was moving to so said.
I could tell she gonna make me an offer of 8meg residential or lower my currenty 2meg price. So she asked why i was moving to Ace then i said because they have the best Business 8meg offer & she said oh your on Residential with us. I think she knew they could not match Ace's price.

"Why did you removed this part below from your site"

Because they are now traffic shaping, I presume.
