at the end of the month my exchange will be enabled for be/o2 iam just wondering from my line stats wot sort of speed i could expect,iam will nildram atm and no that they will sonn be offering upto 16mb , so just wanted to know if its worth swapping over to BE or stay with nildram

Nildram isn't the ISP it once was - its run by Tiscali now which has got alarm bells ringing for many due to their dreadful reputation.

If you want to get more for your money then go with be*. If you prefer to be traffic shaped and forced on to one LLU network after another as Tiscali play pass the parcel with your service then stay where you are.

Its likely to be a lot less than that at peak times with Nildram/Tiscali though.

Quite right -- Tiscali are like the Plague: run away as fast as you can

My household is with Be* and has had no real problems aside from a couple of brief periods of downtime, nothing serious -- but with Tiscali, that would be the norm

all though ive not had a prob with nildram,i was hoping that going to adsl+2 @24mb it mite just increase the line speed from the 4mb iam getting now ,from what ive read off the BR site i dont think they can offer me the 24mb service,so it will prob be the 8mb service ,but at least the upload is alot faster than nildrams ,and no dl limits,

i thought at the time its was a whined up,but the emailo new everything ip emails addresses and how much of the game i downloaded ,basically just needed to no the score with this

Tiscali own Pipex own Nildram, so that's how Pipex know all about you.

The BPI will have got your IP address from the place you downloaded from, and passed it to Pipex to tell you to stop.

I don't understand your question.

If you recognize the game in question then you've been caught downloading copyrighted material so best to avoid doing that in future - regardless of what ISP you are with.
