Re: Which ISP if any? ARGGHHHH!!!!

Ok you should be able to have your line set to fastpath whilst on TalkTalk LLU , but phone support is not the way to get custom settings on your line .

Try the TalkTalk members Forum linky and ask in here as this is excepted by TalkTalk users as the only way to get line faults and custom settings done with out to much fuss .

My mother is on TalkTalk and has a 22mb/1mb line on fastpath with a 80gig download limit , i expect she will be happy when my sister and her family move into there new house and she can go back to a standard TalkTalk 8mb connection 40gig download limit.
But for now TalkTalk has exceeded every body expectations and has performed with out fault with XboX live and even having my gobby nephews saying its so much better than there old BT connection .

So give the members forum a go and give up with the phone . and being realistic nobody can estimate your possible connection speed with out seeing your router stats

Sorry forgot to leave my router stats, must have left them elsewhere. See stats below;

DSL Connection Details
DSL Line (Wire Pair): Line 1 (inner pair)
Protocol: G.DMT Annex A
Downstream Rate: 7616 kbps
Upstream Rate: 448 kbps
Channel: Interleaved
Current Noise Margin: 18.0 dB (Downstream) 29.0 dB (Upstream)
Current Attenuation: 10.6 dB (Downstream) 7.5 dB (Upstream)
Current Output Power: 15.8 dBm (Downstream) 12.1 dBm (Upstream)
DSLAM Vendor Information: Country: {0xB5} Vendor: {TSTC} Specific: {0x05}
PVC Info: 0/38

The issue I have is that I cannot register on the TalkTalk Forums as I am with AOL but on the TT LLU Equipment. So I am billed by AOL but the service is provided by TT. Odd I know. I spoke to TalkTalk Sales and they say I can't have the service with them as I have a featureline. This whole issue gets more stupid as we get further into it.

Nice stats! 23Mbps line on ADSL2+ with a 20Mbps download speed.

So if you can get onto TT proper Boost things should be great. Can't you get to speak to someone who knows what they are doing?

One of the forum threads on the members forum does not need a log in , i think its talk to the staff or something like that .
you would be much better off being with talktalk direct as has been pointed out you got wicked stats and could boost upto some serious speeds with TalkTalk .
Just be mindfull that it may mean another very long contract , but to the most part TalkTalk have been getting there house in order , but there telephone support is still one of the worst and the members forum is still the best way to get things sorted .

Another option is to go with Opal telecom direct and get UK based support , but it does cost more but at least has UK based support that can speak proper English , and im pretty sure these are the same support staff that look after the members forum ..

Be if you can get it allow you to control it yourself on their top two packages but a phone call also gets another form of error checking turned off.

Newnet certainly, IDNet and Zen I expect are no trouble.

Edit - But that upload looks low for a "superb" line.

try ukonline.(llu) if it available in your exchange,they will put you on fast path if you ask them

he has probably decided by now and actioned it. Check the dates.

I saw a post an hour or so ago by an Anon like you, also suggesting UKOnline I think.

That thread was also several weeks if not months old.
