No Sky insist on their telephone line rental these days if you take their broadband

Well I'm happy to report I am now set up with Sky. Line activated within 10 days which was much better than expected. Speed is very slow at 4000kbps but I understand this is part of the testing procedure.

Even better, 18185 unexpectedly works. It worked when the phone was activated but I thought it would stop once broadband came on (I assumed that was when I would move over to fully LLU service). But it still works! Hope it stays that way.

Yes, they start at 4000kbps while they assess the line. IIRC it's 2-3 days, then rises in steps, but it's a dim memory.
