Hi there,

If you pay line rental up front it works out that you're paying £10.99 a month rather than the £14.50 you'd pay with Sky
Unless you also pay the Sky line rental up front.

Didn't realise they'd started doing that as well - fair enough. Looks like you need to call them up to get that offer though?

The Broadband StakeHolders Group KPI information sheets for traffic management would cover whether the provider was blocking SSH

We'll place an order to port the number over (as part of the phone move), if that fails for any reason or we're advised of any issues then we'll chase it - that's all I mean.

Hope that helps explain.

Just hope you get a real Openreach engineer, not a contractor. Good luck, whichever smile.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 53.4/16.8Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Thanks. Did get an Openreach engineer, who was organised and quick. The only issue was that the automated commissioning of the line by PN systems did not happen. It took me an hour to work out it wasn't my fault and call PN. No biggie I suppose but a bit irritating. The engineer told me the line was syncing at 80 Mbps. Here's the speed test results:
