Standard broadband recommendation?

I'm looking to move my mother in law from Utility Warehouse where she's paying £30+ for standard broadband and line rental. Seeing offers from Plusnet, Pop, John Lewis etc for around 20-22 but the reviews are appalling for all of them.

Any ideas where I could move her to?

Don't forget that UW includes free evening and weekend calls.

Was Eclipse Home Option 1, VM 2Mb & O2 Standard
Now Utility Warehouse (up to 16mbps) via Talk Talk

Not sure what their present offer is, but I am happy with about £31/month for broadband (about 53/8Mbs), line rental, and free anytime phone calls to standard and mobile numbers from Vodaphone on FTTC. Broadband speed achievable would depend on the distance 'to the box' assuming fibre is available in her area.

I'd forgotten to add that she can't get FTTP or FTTC. I need to keep the price as low as possible.

You can buy a TP-Link TD-W8961N 300 Mbps Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router for under £20 off Amazon, would do the job as VDSL is not available

Check if she is on any means tested benefit (income support or universal credit or pension credit etc.)

If so then BT basic+broadband at £10.07 per month is available.
