I'm interested to know why you have decided to go for a business service? do you have specific needs for the enhanced service?

Because PN don't offer Gfast as EE, BT and TalkTalk retail don't do Static IP address.

I go for TTB (UnchainedISP) for including static ip address are my important one

PN FTTC 80/20 since 2014

Surely going to TalkTalk Business directly is hundreds of pounds cheaper. Why do you want to give hundreds of pounds more for the same thing?

Especially when you are leaving Plusnet because they are putting up their prices to less than half of what Unchained are providing. crazy

There are many here with very good reasons to have a static IP address, can I ask you what specifically you need a static IP address for?

don't want 24 months contract! Let me explain this: Plusnet offer me £25.99 per month for 12 months that for FTTC 80/20 with line only. UnchainedISP offer me £49.99 per month for 12 months that for G.fast 160/30 with TTB service but I don't pay £49.99 a month because my daughter and I will be paying half of it for next 12 months mean I only paying £25 a month but better with extra speed from 80/20 into 160/30.

OK, a lot of the CCTV systems I've come across don't, but looks like you have one that does sadly.

Also if it needs that a free DDNS service would solve that surely?

Did TalkTalk Business not sell its B2B wholesale business and customers to Daisy a while ago?
I remember reading about it somewhere.

Thanks
Dan

Ok thanks for explaining your thinking.

Gfast seems to perform well on TB's technical testing so I am sure you and your family will enjoy using the circuit and I'm looking forward to your reports

What is the difference between TalkTalk and TalkTalk Business network?
Two different products:

* Backhaul, available from BTwholesale or from TalkTalk Business, or Sky is how your connection gets from the exchange to the internet provider.

* ISP, one of many whom buy inbound connections from a backhaul provider, and connect you to the internet. This includes Plusnet, Uno, Pulse8, and others. Some ISPs offer you a choice of backhaul provider - for example AAISP.

The company TalkTalk also offers retail ISP (TalkTalk) and business ISP (TalkTalk Business) products, not to be confused with the Backhaul provider.

As an end customer you do not engage or do business with to the backhaul provider, you only talk to the ISP, whom then engage the backhaul provider, and the backhaul provider talks to Openreach for the connection to your home.
