Flashget Error

I'm Running windows xp Sp3 with IE8
Everytime I add a new download with flash get I get this error message

I think it could perhaps be a problem with my version of Windows Xp, I am getting a few errors trying to install programs, some programs wont even install and I dont have a clue why...is there any way I can re-install windows xp without lossing any of my currently installed apps? Like can I re-install all windows xp files and all my other files will stay in-tact. If this cant be done then I am thinking of partitioning the 1tb hdd, and install windows 7..along side windows xp. I need windows xp mainly for music production which cant be done under windows 7.

Assuming you have the XP setup CD, do a Repair installation. This will reinstall XP over your existing XP without losing your applications with one exception.

The one exception is that you will need to remove IE8 before you do the XP reinstall.

Depending on which version of SP your XP Cd is up to you will have to reinstall the necessary Service Packs.
