Win 7 SP1

So what's the verdict - install or wait a bit longer? I have seen a few horror stories about trashed systems which make me a bit wary. My system is fully updated and there are no updates pending (apart from SP1) so would you or wouldn't you? I read that IE9 won't install without SP1 though so I guess I'll need it eventually.

i installed on 2 PC's, one desktop, one laptop, both win7 pro x64
desktop failed from windows update, so downloaded the SP installed in safe mode and all ok - then done the safe mode on laptop - again all ok

2 * Desktops (32bit) + 2 * Desktops (64bit) + 1 * Laptop (64bit) all installed via windose update & all working fine.

Fine here on 2 machines - both Win 7 64 Home.

Had to do a reinstall after IE9rc screwed the PC up - fresh everything and SP1 works a treat in x64 - just downloaded IE9 and that seems fine as well - except the ad blocker leaves the frames behind, so reading this page would have a large white rectangle at the top of the page!!! But will stick with ChromePlus for the time being.

Four machines here hit with the C00000034 fatal error on startup. All Fujitsu, with OEM W7 x64 and all connected to WSUS as stated.

I've managed to get them back to a pre SP1 state now and have declined the update on WSUS so it won't be applied again, but it took almost a day to get them operational again!

That said, the other five computers, and my two home computers, installed SP1 without a hitch!

OK here, Pro 64bit edition. Took a while to get it to install mind you kept refusing to install.
