Done 4 systems here three 64 bit and one 32 bit and no problems.

But if you are worried go into Control Panel - Backup & Restore

Then on the top left hand corner there is an option to "Create a system image"

This will make an image of your computer that you can roll back to easily if things go wrong.

I make one of these every 10 days just in case and it was a life saver when Bit Defender was sent a duff update and bricked my PC.

seems fine here and I have seen 2 issues fixed in fact.

1 - previously y monitor wouldnt go into power saving after 10 minutes (as configured), now it does.
2 - previously I had a hdd connected vis usb caddy keep powering down, this has now stopped.

performance wise it feels no slower or faster.

BUT, DO test that your Win7 restore CAN read the images(s) !

Mine failed, see my post here earlier, and NO ONE seems to have answer to that.....

I have downloaded the entire SP1 (507MB), because I have number of computers to update, so far it loaded fine on test system (32bit Pro).

You should be able to right click the update and select 'Hide' (or a similar term)
