Carrying over bandwidth

[link to this post]

Can someone tell me if you can carry unused bandwidth over to the next calender month?

i.e. Ive been offline for almost 2 months, due to relocation, in this 2 months i didnt use my ADSL account at all, yet i was still billed for the time. When i checked what bandwidth i had left recently, i realised it hadnt carried over.

Is this how its sposed to be?

As far as I know it does not carry over it just resets to your limit.

You can only carry forward any extra purchased GB. Your normal allowance does not carry forward.

ZeN 2000 [July 2005 - Ongoing]
PIPEX Solo 1000 [May 2005 - July 2005]
Bulldog Communications Alltime 500 [April 2004 - May 2005]
BTopenworld Dialup

Yep, that's how it's supposed to be.

If your allowance is, say, 20GB per month then you get a fresh allowance of 20GB each month. If you only use 5GB of that, the surplus (unused portion) doesn't carry forward.

If you pay for additional bandwidth on top of your monthly allowance, any unused portion of this will be carried forward.
