Whenever I log into Firefox, I get a usage checker error message:

Zen Usage: Your Username or Password are incorrect. Please check them against those used to log into the Zen website.
I have no problems at all getting into the customer portal with the password I am using, so is the usage checker borked?

It seem to be an issue in Firefox 6. It doesn't appear in the system tray like it used to.
Some comment or help from Zen would be good.

Try installing the Status-4-Evar addon. This gives you back the status bar functionality.

In FF5 you can go View/Toolbars/ and check Add-on Bar
It's not working again now, saying incorrect password.

i've downloaded loads today and it still says i've used the same amount this month as it did this morning.
says the same thing when i log into the customer portal.

Ah - see what you mean now. It's not actually recording usage.
I just made a note of my remaining allowance and will check it again tomorrow!

I don't think my reading has changed in the last 24 hours, and that's clearly not right. Also not very helpful, given that it's getting near the end of the month and I'm not sure how close I am to the limit!

Did they send you a 75% used email yet?
I haven't had one yet, just the 50% one used sent on 22nd.

Oh yes, I've had the 75% warning email, some time ago. I'm actually over the limit and using up bank, but I've no idea how much is left as neither the usage checker nor the Customer Portal is working. No service alert either.

Well, what we don't know is whether Zen know real usage figures but aren't able to display them, or whether the figure we see is the same one they see. Either way, I don't see how they could tell people they've used too much (and must pay for more) when they aren't enabling us to see what our usage is. They'd just have to write it off, wouldn't they?
I see my usage reading is the same as it was - as far as I can recall - late on Friday, which is clearly impossible. And that's checking in the Customer Portal - not just the usage checked in Firefox.
It also isn't clear (1) whether all/most/some other users are affected and (2) if Zen are aware of this development.

I only have usage figures shown up to the 24th Feb ( when looking at the daily stats).

Yes, 24 February is the last figure shown for me in the Portal - and an implausibly low figure, which suggests that it stopped recording some time before the end of the day. And the bit where it tells you when you're likely to run out of allowance is N/A.

Mine hasn't changed either - I don't check it every day normally, but it certainly hasn't changed in the past two days for me.
Seeing Leo is going to deal with it tomorrow, it'll hopefully get fixed quickly.

my counter just went up by 1GB but still hasn't taken into account how much i downloaded this weekend.

It's working fine for me - just logged into the portal and was able to view anything in there.

My usage checker seems to be acting up saying incorrect username/password and now it says in my portal login account locked for a 1hour due to many incorrect login attempts.
Clearly trying to refresh the usage checker made the system go mental.
