I've set up my spam filtering in the Zen portal to high level protection and set it include [spam] in the subject line. I'm still receiving spam that I would have thought Zen's filters would have easily spotted like html email from online casino's but nothing has been reported as spam. Is the spam filtering working yet or has it been delayed?

Can't directly answer your question, but the zen email system adds a couple of spam-ranking headers to each email, which can be used for triggering filters in your email client.
It is worth noting that these headers are added even if you select mail forwarding instead of spam filering on the portal. I think that zen should add this to their help page.

It's suddenly started working this afternoon. Maybe it takes a while from setting it up? Anyway it is adding [spam] to the subject line so I have set up Outlook Express to put these emails in a separate spam folder.

It was only after seeing this thread that I realised that Zen now includes a SPAM filter !
I think I'll leave my settings alone, as in the 13 months of being with Zen, I have yet to receive a single SPAM e-mail although I'm not complaining

Wow, no spam, your pretty lucky then. I don't suffer too badly probably only about 5 messages a day.

Crikey that's nearly as bad as when I was with AOL
I used to get around a dozen SPAM e-mails a day and most of them ended up in my SPAM folder thank goodness.

I think part of the reason is that I don't use my Zen e-mail address on forums (I use a disposable one instead) and also I only give out my Zen e-mail address to people that I trust.

Compared to some people who I've seen say they get 100+ a day 5 is good.

Point taken but no SPAM is even better
