BT and NTL line together ?

Hi,

Just wondering if it's possible to have 1xBT line running ADSL and 1xNTL running cable broadband for failover / load balancing purposes ?

yes, if you have the necessary hardware / software to do the balancing/fallover bit.

I've just bought one of these http://www.retractacable.com/product_info.php?cPath=32&products_id=104 for the same reason, haven't set it up yet due to second ISP not being connected yet but it sounds like a great piece of kit.

Sounds like an ideal situation.

If only we had cable down our street

(then I would not need two ADSL lines)

Edit: Mind you, my Zen connection is extremely reliable.
Only been out for two periods in 4 years
- and both of those were down to BT, not Zen - hence, why a cable connection would be nice.

Line One:- Zen Home 500 - DrayTek Vigor 2600VG
Line Two:- Nildram - DrayTek Vigor 2600

It's very similar to the Cyclone 200 reviewed on this site. Probably updated firmware though. I use a Cyclone 200 myself for load-balancing 2 ADSL lines.
