Possible Issue for customers.

[link to this post]

BT are currently rolling out a Firmware update. This Task will be open for 72hrs and is not supposed to affect customers.

We have had a few reports where the customer has an intermittent connection. Please make sure all local diagnostics are performed and if the issue persists after 24hrs please call support.

Kindest Regards,

Hi,

I have a customer on a 20CN connection that has been unstable since about 10am this morning. It lost sync, then struggled to reconnect, when it did reconnect it was up for 2-3 hours and I believe it is still down. Could this be the cause?

If it is still down in the morning I will log it with support, but a heads up would be useful.

Thanks,

Mark.

Is this the MSAN upgrades, or the metro node upgrade work?

I'd guess this is not the metro-node maintenance, as a service alert has been posted for that:

Ahh that would be the 'PEW Notice' I posted here at the end of Oct.

Not much notice by way of Zen status update given its been going on since March...

Mmmm looks like Office (day job - not tbb) may have been knocked offline, and my home connection is a bit up and down.

Oddly looks more like a routing issue on reaching Zen than anything else.

Well my problem with a customers line seems stable enough this morning. Been pinging since 9am with no drops so far. It was losing sync though and that may be due to the wind.

And I had *another* los of PPP again this afternoon about 15:28 and some CHAP fail errors but I can't see at the moment how long it was down for.

The issue is affecting 21CN only and I believe it is MSN upgrades. We have not been given a lot of information from BT regarding the issue.

As for more drops, we are aware that the Edinburgh node is still having intermittent issues and BT are still working around the clock to resolve it.

If yoiu do have any issue, please do let me know and I will investigate them for you.
