Or, to put it another way..... Can we be migrated back to how it was before this unrequested migration? That seems the easiest solution?

Totally agree that would be the logical thing to do until they find and resolve the issue.

The other thing is are they still migrating customers even though they haven't sorted this issue, lets hope not.

Totally agree dect !,

"The other thing is are they still migrating customers even though they haven't sorted this issue, lets hope not."

- it would sound a rather poor choice to migrate anyone else until this issue is a) identified and b) resolved.

I do know that on the evening of the 5th (after zen replied to this topic) both mine and my neighbours connections (who are GEA migrated) dropped for a period of time. So weather they were doing tests/checks or configuration changes I don't know?

Obviously doesn't help you if you do still have problems, but maybe they are doing things still behind the scenes. And I agree it would have been courteous to at least notify you.

Purely a guess but I'm wondering if they were testing the Openreach part of the link to rule it out

Not sure if yours was different but it looks like a migration takes about 2 weeks to happen. I don't think that's going to get things working any faster.

Update: Openreach guy attended (same guy as last time). He replaced the ONT this time. Ran more tests. Unsurprisingly this didn't seem to make a difference.

After I complained about losing IPv6 and doubled latency it took about an hour to be switched back to London instead of Manchester.

I don't believe it would take anything like that to migrate a customer back, I would put about an hour on it if you want my opinion.

2 weeks is how long it takes BT to migrate between the two networks. The actual work involved may be very little, but the lead times are 10 working days.

Not sure your doing an equivalent comparison, but hey ho lets say its 2 months or 2 years and all sit here in the dark.
