Negotiating with Zen

[link to this post]

My 18 month contract for Zen FTTP (via City Fibre) expires next month. A recent email tells me that I can 'upgrade' the current Full Fibre 300 'to' Full Fibre 300 for £32 per month, a 99p reduction on the current price. There are several resellers on City Fibre, including Vodafone, who say that I can't have service at my address.
Does anyone have any experience of negotiating with Zen at renewal time that they'd like to share?

Yes, I was paying £63 for 900/100 (BT). At the end of an 18 month contract this April the renewal was £59 (currently £55). I sent them an email and got renewal of an 18 month contract for £43pm.

Very happy with that.

£32 Seems a bargain, £40 per month for me on my email (down from £49)

I emailed about it and they offered me a better price (£36 for 500) - so assuming we've not confused each other that's what I hope to be paying.

I assume you're not on CityFibre as that's a lot cheaper than Openreach. You can get Gigabit for £40, though without voice service (which IMO is way too expensive anyway, better going with AAISP VoIP and paying for calls).

Just Openreach for me, not complaining though as it's still a lot cheaper than it was before.

I went for the £40 900Mb offer. I use A&A £1.44pm VoIP for incoming landline and ee unlimited mobile for outgoing.

I'm still paying £59.99 half way into a 2 year contract. To be fair they have to cover the engineer costs of fitting the line into that.

I am hoping Zen do negotiating as my contract to 300/47 is up soon. Youfibre installed here recently and today an email says they rebranded as 'You' and are offering 8Gb, 2GB. I am interested in the 1Gb up and down for £27.99 + £12 for voip pro. I would like to stay with Zen but that's pretty tempting. If its cgnat though it's a no chance, £5 for a static IP though still makes it cheaper than I currently pay.

I was looking at them too, their prices have actually gone up on all but the 150Mb...
They offer Dynamic IP's or you can get a static for £5pm they are "roiling out" IPv6 so you may more may not get it (Ask Support before hand)
