OK.

What DNS servers is your broadband router using?

Presumably you’re using DHCP to dish out addresses to your local machines. So they should inherit the DNS setting from your router - but perhaps check.

Edit: Apparently is Apple's iCloud relay that does that so all ok.

And there lies your answer. Netflix have just started locking the relay IP address.

OP hasn’t confirmed what devices they’re consuming Netflix on / are affected. So it could well be a wider issue than the list of Apple devices on their sig…say smart TVs that are running a Netflix app and connected to home broadband.

Anyhow it appears it’s only an issue when connected via their Zen broadband connection and isn’t a problem on mobile data. Furthermore Private Relay to my knowledge is used primarily for Safari data to obfuscate ones IP address and DNS record. So not sure the Private Relay theory necessarily holds water here….

Correct, iCloud relay only affects IOS devices using Safari and so isn’t used on the Apple TV that I mainly watch Netflix on.

It is Zen’s IP that seems to be the issue.

I’m using Zen’s default DNS.

Fore testing purposes, are you able to change the default DNS on your router to Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 and Quad9: 9.9.9.9

Probably need to reboot the router for the change to stick and reboot your clients for them to update their IP address and DNS server records via a fresh DHCP request.

Nice 👍 Quite probably it was an issue affecting other Zen customers. Perhaps they were getting some heat, and spurned them into action.

Funny enough I've been having issues with Work's PC today - very slow and had trouble with connecting to teams/visual studio just didn't want to run, I think it started sometime Friday night/Saturday as it was slow Saturday evening when I wanted to check some tax stuff. It was better in afternoon - I'm now a bit suspicious ZScaler & Zen n/w weren't working well together.

Must reboot router as being sent North sometime last week with pings of 18ms not 4 or 5
