It seems that my BT Broadband connection is stuck in a vicious circle.
For the last few months it seems that I get a few days at a decent speed, then a few days where I can barely connect and then when it comes back on it's at a pathetically slow speed.
It always seems that when I complain to BT, my speed improves a bit for a wee while then I start having problems again.
Am I being paranoid? It's driving me mad.
Here is the results from the BT Speedtester from a few minutes ago:
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Your DSL connection rate: 192 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 135 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 112 kbps
If I try to download something just now, it doesn't go above 6kbs.
Router being used right now is a Thomson Speedtouch 585.
The stats from it are:
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 11.5 / 13.0
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 31.5 / 63.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 13.0 / 9.0
