Thanks frown.

I'm 500 metres and wondering about the speed. That's if my cabinet gets FTTC.
I think those figures I gave were wrong, what I thought was a BT cabinet isnt. At least, there's no new cabinet anywhere near it for the fibre MSANs.

More likely distances are about 350 and 450 metres, but the extra distance means I've got even less idea of the cable route crazy

It'll be interesting to see how it goes over time. According to the BT engineer I'm only the 3rd person on that cabinet. I think he said it was a 100-user one, so lots of scope yet for cross-talk degradation...

Note to self - Billford pimps high price fttc service to BT customers yet doesn't know what a fttc service looks like. Whilst Roberto waits to hear from those who do know what they are talking about before recycling said information elsewhere on the forum. tongue

I didn't even know some were tongue

I wasn't paying that much attention tbh, I'm sure he didn't use the number "288" but he might have said "a couple of hundred".

'Twas a genuine enquiry re what I might get, being approx 500 metres from the copper cabinet. tongue

Actually I'm amazed how much you know about anything, as you clearly have no belief whatsoever in the learning process. How schools ever came into being must be a complete mystery to you, as all the teachers do is re-cycle something they have been told.

It is also clear, if we can believe history, that history itself changes, and all the known facts about the universe have changed several times.

As you seem to hold down quite a technical job, you must be extremely clever having never accepted any tuition or coaching, nor ever watched anyone else carrying oit any of the functions of that job smile.

Self-taught reading as well! Very impressive.
