Is that using the full address, or just the postcode? According to it BT couldn't have given you fibre either. Unless the cabinet is full, but it usually says something about that.

There can be database errors. Can you tell us the new exchange please, so we can check another way?

As well as that, what did the line above the table those estimates were in say? Did in have something like "Address xxxxx on cabinet nn", or did it just say the exchange with no mention of cabinet?

Checked with post code the area is callington cornwall

The postcode checker is not reliable. You must use the full address as we don't expect your phone number t be recognised.

FTTP instead of FTTC. FTTP is fibre all the way to the premises, so you always get the full connection speed that you signed up for. Not affected by your distance from the cabinet like FTTC.

Two things that may not be perfect. It doesn't guarantee no congestion, and it doesn't guarantee that Openreach won't want an extra payment for installing it. It is "Subject to survey", but is normally the same as FTTC.

That will be where the messing around in BT came from, as I doubt if they have had many, if any, house moves from FTTC to FTTP.

Re BT, Plusnet do have FTTP trials ongoing, so maybe at the end of your Sky contract you will be able to get it from them.
