Thanks for that. So it is enough to remake a splice should things go wrong of the user requiring a ONT MOVE. I was trying to get my head around the post by APTMAN.

Whilst you might only need say 10 cm of fibre on either side to actually make the splice, you need enough also to be able to bring the two fibre ends into the splicer itself.
If my math's are correct from the Green SC-APC connector = 5Turns = 1.6M and the incoming fibre 6 Turns = 1.4M * Note there are two different diameters used.
With the 'Splice' held in the LH area clips.
He has used it like it was outside, it's probably the only way he knows how to do it.
