CSP Question

Typically in a CSP, what length of indoor fibre would be coiled up and similarly, what length of external fibre would be coiled up?

It varies, but I’d say you’d want 500 mm of each.

Thanks for that. So it is enough to remake a splice should things go wrong of the user requiring a ONT MOVE. I was trying to get my head around the post by APTMAN.

Yes, just that.

Whilst you might only need say 10 cm of fibre on either side to actually make the splice, you need enough also to be able to bring the two fibre ends into the splicer itself.

You did make me chuckle when you switched between mm and cm, it has the same affect on me when people say things like, I need 2 metres of 4" x 2"

If my math's are correct from the Green SC-APC connector = 5Turns = 1.6M and the incoming fibre 6 Turns = 1.4M * Note there are two different diameters used.
With the 'Splice' held in the LH area clips.

He has used it like it was outside, it's probably the only way he knows how to do it.

Or to use standard timber units for the UK, 2.1m. The other standard lengths being 0.9, 1.8, 2.4, 3, 3.6, 4.2, 4.8 all roughly corresponding to feet.

Generally that is how timber is measured and described so not too funny.
