So just under 6 months on from my original post, no more word of FTTP in my area (LNILC/P66). Did the Anonymous poster above get any response from their complaint I wonder? I'm starting to think that OR will not bother with the capital outlay of FTTP but instead rely on the FTTP on demand process to push this cost to customers. I personally am happy to wait for FTTP if the can at least indicate if it will be available by the end of the year...

Im not the same anon but I know two people that have FTTP on Ilford Central. (They live on the same road)
Ive asked BT about it, and was told that FTTP has not been finalised, and Ill be able to order it when it is. (Maybe links with the July 2nd release)

I did think about the fibre on demand reason but they have installed the mainfolds on the telegraph poles ages ago. Also there are 2 FTTC cabinets within 2 minutes of my house (some further from the exchange than me) So that means that fibre has or will be going past my house right? So I dont see what they could charge for when it would just be a normal FTTP install.

Ill use the checker again in July, then contact BT again to see what they say.

Am I right in thinking that after the 2nd July FTTP will be available to some lines that are already served by FTTC?

If so would that mean that as I'm about 75m from my FTTC cabinet I'd be able to order BT Infinity Option 3 after the 2nd July?

No. 2nd July is the commercial launch of 330Mb/s FTTP. Fibre on demand will be available next year.

So am I correct in thinking that when FTTP is rolled as a avaialable by demand product it'll be available to any premise already covered by a FTTC cabinet. Will the 2nd July give us an ida as what the costs of this will be.

No. It's a retail launch of BT's fastest FTTP product, only available to those in an FTTP area.

So I found this thread I started nearly 4 years ago for the status of LNILC/P66. Every 6-9 months I email Openreach to see if anything has changed on Fibre being made available and I get variations on not now, but some day in response.

Does anyone with better than me know if LNILC/P66 really is still on the roadmap for FTTP?
