There is a procedure available to ISPs to order a Simultaneous (SIM) Provide. That requires them when raising a phone line order against Openreach to request a Linked Order Number (LORN).
Having done that, they submit a broadband order to Openreach and quote the LORN. Openreach then link the two orders and both should happen on the same day.
Three possible snags.
1) The SIM/LORN process frequently seems to fail.
2) I don't know if this is available for MPF lines (full LLU), or only for SMPF, (partial LLU where the line remains a "BT" line).
3) I'm only aware of a few ISPs with this facility incorporated into their own ordering systems. Maybe Sky are one of the ones that don't, or quite possibly first and even second-line support are ignorant of its existence.
Edit - Unfortunately the LORN has some special format, so this has to be requested on initial line order. SIM provides cannot be added once a normal order number has been produced, without them cancelling the order on Openreach and starting again. That would inevitably introduce delay given the dates involved, even if Sky do use that system deep in the recesses of their CS.
