Been good so far. Odd hiccup but they are a relatively new ISP
With my own equipment I've never had a speed test over the WiFi less than 800MB, wired speed tests in excess of 900MB every time.
Cgnat ip hasn't affected me at all. I don't need port forwarding, most things are cloud based now.

Cheers.
Have just asked them about CGNAT and they say they only use Public IPs, not shared CGNAT address.
Based on that, and you confirming you've been able to get it working with your own kit, I've taken the plunge 👍

I've had BeFibre installed so far I have been unimpressed the install part was ok. However I had emails saying I was connected. No it wasn't not for another 4 days after the install. There customer support is useless I had to ring 3 to 4 times and log the same thing everytime before I finally got someone to call me back. It finally connected and It was fine until today I decided to download a 10gb file which I needed for work it started off OK and then it started dropping speed then it stopped. So I rebooted the ont box and the router it then seemed to start to work OK again then it stopped again. Now if I try and run any speed tests via wired or wireless directly the hub it doesn't work. So back on the phone again now I have the adtean router and I have a cat 6 cable plugged into the wan port on the router which plugs into the ont box on the wall.
Does this mean I could use a different router or am I stuck with it??

Following advice from other users from this forum (thank you sprozen, danielshaw, cityworker314 etc), I have replaced the Adtran with a SFP media converter (i.e. TP-Link MC220L) connected to my router.
In order to connect to the internet you then need to set up the connection with the correct VLAN ID which is
available on the routing page of the Adtran ui, you'll see WAN.nn and nn is the id you need. You then just set the interface to dhcp with that vlan id and you're away.
Edit:I forgot to mention I am with BeFibre

Did you manage to receive any help with this? I’m having exactly the same problem with BeFibre. I’ve found I can only get the 500mbps on the 5Ghz wifi which is fine but that signal won’t even travel to one room so I’m limited to about 70mbps on the 2.4GHz. Just seem a bit let down that I’m paying for 500mbps but can only get it when I’m stood a metre away from the router. I would also like a mesh wifi.

Just following up to say i finally got installed today
Soon as the engineer walked out the door, i grabbed the vlan id from the adtran, then swapped it for the tp link media converter, into my original router (eero) set the vlan id, and its all working now!

Bit of a long shot. but do you have a link to the bits you needed to do this converter. getting quite confused on which tp link and if i need to purchase a single mode module to go with.

You just need the MC220L, it’s about £18 on Amazon. Then you take the whole SFP module out of the adtran and put it in the TP link, with an ethernet from the TP link into your own router

Glad to hear all is working fine!
All was working for me too with exception of my webserver which I was not able to access anymore because of the CGNAT ip.
However, a few days after having contacted the customer support and explained my issue, I was assigned an external ip free of charge.
It is not static (over the phone they told me they expect to be able offer it soon) but it works for me as I use a DDNS service anyway.
I hope this might help.
Cheers

Oh I'm such a idiot! Of course it's got one! Is it just screwed in to the adtran? Not soldered? I see there's two screws in the base?
