ADSLGuide Speedtest

[link to this post]

Is there anything special (or wrong) with the speedtest on this site.

I ask because it is reporting a download spped of 50KBs on a 1Mb service, whereas the BT speed checker is showing between 700 and 900KBs.

My speed for downloading web pages seems ok, although using file sharing is very slow (never more than 20KBs and more often as low as 2 or 3KBS) - I suspect this is throttling being done by TalkTalk

Try more than once, even consecutive test can vary. Also you could try Namesco.
