Cancelling service

[link to this post]

Hi all

Been with TalkTalk Fibre65 for quite a few years, I decided to take the plunge and join Virgin Media cable, I am wondering and I know this might be a bit stupid of me not knowing, when I cancelled my Talk Talk, is the phone line also cancelled (which is what I want) or does BT start charging line rental, sorry if its been asked before.

As long as you ensure that you cancel both services via TalkTalk …. then that’ll be fine.

TBH , unless you are on some legacy shared metallic path arrangement where you pay separately, BT for ‘line rental ‘ and TT for broadband ( two bills from two separate companies) then only TT have a contractual relationship with you , BT don’t , it’s remarkable that you think it’s even possible that a company you no dealings with could suddenly start billing you once your relationship ends with a completely separate company,
if you haven’t signed up with BT , why would they bill you , how would they even know that you are no longer a TT customer

Don't be harsh.
