Edit: Sorry this should have been directed at the OP

Then everything on Gigaclear's side is working as it should
Just a thought, maybe Gigaclear are routing the movie downloads via a convoluted route causing them to be particularly slow, it won't be the first time an altnet has routed internet traffic via multiple foreign countries.

you would have thought so but still the speed of download into pc is half what it was - the router they replaced was also gigaclear.

When the router was changed the IP address would probably have changed as well and this may have affected the routing of your internet traffic.

Try a non-Gigaclear speed tester like Fast.com so not to limit the test to just the Gigaclear core network, don't forget to connect to the router with an ethernet cable.

Note: If you click the more info on the suggested test site it will tell you where it thinks you are and what test servers you're connecting to.

I'm sure your winding us up now as what you're saying doesn't make any sense. I'll leave this to someone more patient than me.

Are you...talking about your ping time in ms?

In agreement with the post directly above mine, the effort you're putting into this is a fraction of the effort people are putting in to try and assist. If you're not bothered about accurately reading and relaying the things you're seeing on screen then that's obviously your right but you will put people off. Nowhere does Fast.com report an "internet speed" and a "download speed", so you've seen some numbers and have decided what they represent. You need to either start accurately reporting what is being shown to you, or upload a screenshot using a site such as https://postimages.org/.

Weird!
ITs gone from 2-3mbs to 5mbs having plugged directly into router - Where's the improvement in that!
At 200mbps you'd expect 25mbs download
Wheres the wind up!
If its through TP link and wifi its around 80mbps internet speed and download of 2-3mbs
