Good. WPA is much better than WEP. It's even better if you use a long random passphrase (I think at least 17 random characters is suggested).

Do you still have the intermittent connection problems?

Grab a password from here: https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm

Do Sky not indicate which settings they have changed?

Hi!

If you have Windows XP SP2 or SP3; or have Windows Vista, you could "work through" Windows Connect Now as if you are establishing a new home network. Here, Windows generates a new random WEP or, preferably as MrSaffron said, WPA key when you set up a new WiFi network. I have explained how to go about it in my blog post ( http://homenetworking01.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!D6F5A17F1E518E37!221.entry ) about setting up a secure wireless home network which I had posted on Christms Eve 2007.

Th reason I posted this article then was that a lot of people would be likely to receive wireless routers, Centrino-equipped laptops or other wieless-network kit for Christmas.

With regards,

Simon Mackay
