Definetely changing to a new router the talk talk hub is [censored]. Lots of places in the house where the WiFi is rubbish

Is it the Sagemcom Fast 5364? I have experience of 3 of these and the WiFi has been pretty good at my home, just today I was checking reception on my windowsphone around the garden, got WiFi through 2 walls and 25m away.
At a industrial unit there where differences, as reported by a friend, I lent him my spare router to replace a Netgear Nighthawk which kept dropping signal, the Fast 5364 worked perfectly, he ordered his own but when trying it the signal kept dropping, I'm guessing due to the number of adjacent units using WiFi, left my one with him and took his home and as above worked OK. I'm guessing they where set to different bands, something which isn't a problem at my house with only two other properties within (edge of) range.

Im gutted as thought it would be fine but my old ASUS RT N66U has way better range. Ive had 2 daughters and a son moan about it already and only got it connected today and as we speak Im only on 2 bars on my iPhone and I always get full signal. Sagemcom cs50001 it says on the back

That's not the latest hub, which as I posted is the Sagemcom Fast 5364
p.s. a quick check online and that appears to be the power supply not the router
this is the Fast 5364 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBDu-V-KqQI

I'm not sure why your router is not performing, but my experience is they work well. but note as my other post one of these didn't seem to like congested WiFi whilst another worked fine.

As well as the range isnt great Im also not getting very good speeds. With plusnet I would get between 68-72 on WiFi and with talk talk only getting 53 next to the router

Have you tested speeds using an ethernet cable to a laptop or desktop to check what speeds you can get without WiFi ?

Then perhaps moving ISP has lost you some speed. Maybe you are paying less? You need to check the product you are on and the promised speeds at sign up.
