Anyone experienced good customer service?

[link to this post]

The board seems pretty much divided into two groups.

1. Those who have subscribed to Talktalk broadband, had their migration/activation go smoothly, been billed correctly and have experienced no issues with their connection. In short, those who have never had reason to contact Customer Services with a real problem.

2. Those who (like me) have run into a major problem with their account and found that Customer Services are no help whatsoever.

So, have you experienced good customer service from Talktalk with a real problem? What did they help with and how did they help?
I'm not asking those of us with awful experiences to recount them all again and I'm not asking people who've never had a problem to praise Talktalk in general. This is specifically about finding out the sort of things that Talktalk's Customer Service staff CAN help with.

Edit: I should add that by "real" problem I mean things other than trivial stuff like forgetting to plug in your modem or incorrectly entering your username/password.
Also - this is about broadband account problems (not the telephony side of things).
Thanks.

OK but it's customer services dealing with broadband problems I'm interested in (I've tried to make that a bit clearer with an edit).

Has your father had reason to contact Talktalk's customer service people about a broadband account problem and had it resolved? Thanks.

I had problem with Email connection and account online billing on two separate occasions broadband support contacted me for each via request from landline support although I had to wait until Monday one of the times due to them not being available Saturday Sunday. Most helpful and they stayed on until sorted. And they rang at times agreed.

I don't think there is any customer service where TalkTalk is concerned. If there was then they would have someone here officially from TalkTalk sorting out the problems we are having. Instead they prefer to bury their heads in the sand while Charles Dunstone bleats positively on his blog about how they're getting on top of things. Well, I have to tell you they're not. TalkTalk Customer Services was in a mess when I joined in April 2005 and is still in a mess today. So come on you TalkTalk management guys, I know you're reading what's going on here, stick your heads above the trenches and respond. I would love nothing more than to see all those new posters here continue being happy with their 'free' broadband. All of us who've experienced TalkTalk customer services for the last year or more know that's not going to happen in the current climate. I was always taught that a business remains successful by providing services that are mutually beneficial to both themselves and their clients. I see no benefit to clients in the way that TalkTalk currently run their operations.

I know, I know. I agree with all of that but this thread is really intended to find out what Customer Services CAN do. As you say Talktalk aren't going to send anyone here to clean up the mess so we're left with sorting through the evidence for clues as to what's going on.
As I said, can people please only post in this thread if Customer Services have been OF USE to you with a problem concerning your broadband account. Please detail the problem and how you were helped.
