"FAST path" is a line that doesnt have Interleaving applied.

BT IPStream products are provided as fixed rate (ie 512k /1Mb 2Mb) and will consistantly sync to the exchange at the same rate - ie 2272kbps for a 2Mb line.

DSLMax is rate adaptive and you will sync to the exchange at the best rate according to your line conditions. The line can be FAST or INTERLEAVED - again depending upon the conditions of your line.

If youre on a TT LLU exchange - it should work in a similar way to dslmax.

(edited to add
- although you wont have the DLM training process and IP profile system)
