To hijack this thread a bit (your stats looks really nice to me)

I have today been moved over to ADSL2+ WBC. During the process I noticed my attenuation dropped from 43 to 41dB and my SNR improved slightly too. Once connected via ADSL2+ rather than G.DMT the attenuation increased as expected to 45dB. I am a little disappointed at the speed increase. I have gained less than 1meg.

Router: Netgear DG834GT DGTeam Firmware (March 2010)
ADSL Nation face plate (tried 2 and directly in to test socket, no ring wire or extensions, read the same on all)

Forcing an SNR target of 5-6dB via telnet as my line tries to target 15dB

Connection Speed 5783 kbps 856 kbps
Line Attenuation 45.0 db 25.9 db
Noise Margin 5.4 db 6.1 db

Channel: FAST, Upstream rate = 856 Kbps, Downstream rate = 5783 Kbps
Link Power State: L0
Mode: ADSL2+
Channel: Fast
Trellis: U:ON /D:ON
Line Status: No Defect
Training Status: Showtime
Down Up
SNR (dB): 5.4 6.1
Attn(dB): 45.0 25.9
Pwr(dBm): 20.3 12.1
Max(Kbps): 7268 17869
Rate (Kbps): 5783 856

I know my line is not great, but when I first got adslmax in 2008 I was getting 6496 kbps. I changed replaced my router with no change in stats. Reading that I have done suggests that I could possibly be hitting about 7.5-8meg or is this as good as it gets?

The charts seem to indicate that if your line was average you would sync higher for that attenuation (i.e. 8Mbps). Unfortunately (given that you have tried in the test socket) your line appears to perform below the average.

Can you use the DMT tool? I was wondering if any blocks of tones are unusable because of interference.

edited to add: just read the rest of your post where you do use the DMT tool. blush
