Do you have a test socket within your BT master socket?
If so try to get the stats from there (it will discount internal wiring as a cause of your low speeds).
If you have no test socket try getting the stats with only your router connected to the phone line (i.e. no phones, burglar alarms, sky boxes, faxes, etc.).

Any difference if you switch router between ADSL, ADSL2 and ADSL2Plus modes?
The low power and high noise margin suggests nothing bad in terms of noise, more likely a config issue by the ISP

Yes I know? I have changed them but how can you get the speed if your not connected? :/

If modem refuses to connect in the other ADSL modes then that should tell support something...i.e. another indication that something is amiss with how their exchange hardware is setup

Ok thanks phoned them earlier and they said take note of the speeds every 3 hours then ring back so going to phone them back soon,
Its hard to explain stuff to them as all they want to do is talk and you listen, rather then them also listen to you to try and help solve the prob.

Yea, I tried talking to AOL on behalf of my Dad not so long ago, after a couple of hours I just wanted to throw the phone at them.
All they want to know is the answers to the questions on their script, and whats the point of doing a speed test when Its the sync speed that the routers connected at that is the issue.. and why should I reboot my computer hows that going to help?
anyway my dad had slow similar problems which have now sort of gone away, but not entirely sure how, but if it doesn't get better ask for a mac, that usually gets you the next level of tech support..
