It was all going so well....until now. 22% packet loss outbound to bbc.co.uk.

Waiting for BQM to catch up.

Just a small hiccup, few websites were refusing to load/connect for a couple minutes, nothing out of the ordinary showed up in my BQM either, strange but seems to have resolved itself now

BQM showed a small increase in maximum latency, Looks like a routing issue as traffic to facebook wasn't even exiting their network.

As of now, minimum latency to TBB has jumped up again.

If it ain't broke....they touched it.

Well as of 6:28pm this evening, my entire service is down now. PPPoE connection is established and I get a public IP but no routing to anything.

"All components are Operational" apparently...

I'm faring a bit better. Sorry your service is borked. Looking for updates on the Cityfibre build here. Hopefully not long until I have another option.

Yeah I saw that on the Network page. Fills you with confidence doesn't it (not).

I'm lucky I have Swish Fibre, HB and Openreach's service on my road. Just inside a 24 month contract with HB

Edit: Tried calling their support. No one picks up. I'm invited to leave a phone message which I did. Meanwhile service status page says All Operational and I'm back in the dark as to what is going on :-/

Full outage here too (Hemel),

Been in touch with them about an odd peak latency rise that has been happening since the packet loss issues the other week.
Guess I can't complain about elevated latency if I can't see it!

I managed to get through to Support. They are aware there is a major problem. When I questioned why the Network Service page says everything is Operational, they said they are having trouble accessing it to update it.

New to this thread, but I've come here about this evening's outage (19/05/2023). I've been through the entire thread this evening and some great technical knowledge in here.

With respect to this evenings outage, I'm on the 193.11.x.x range (which is part of AS212426) and from the confirmed reports, I think those affected tonight are all from this same ASN.

My guessing is there's a routing issue effecting this ASN. I can certainly reach the HB/FW infrastructure, so I know it's not local to me.

Any thoughts on how long this might take to resolve from previous experience? Given it's the beginning of the weekend.

The lack of acknowledgement directly from HB and their status page is extremely frustrating and unprofessional.

Fortunately I still have my FTTC connection as backup.

Who knows to be honest. I like many others have hit a handful of network quality issues with HB but this is a new one for me. Never had a sustained total outage like this. Being an IT Guy for a Global Bank for 20 years, I accept things happen but how HB’s Support organisation manage their Customer expectations is terrible.

As of 8:30am, my internet has been down for 13.5hrs, the Network Status page says everything is Operational when it clearly isn’t. I’ve had no responses to my request for updates. Completely in the dark.

Not great is it.

Edit: 9:02am, issue appears to be resolved. This was the outage window

I'm in SL9 and have a 185.75.x.x address.
